Accountability

80% of the world’s evangelical Christians live in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Over the last 50 years, God’s church has grown exponentially in these areas.

These regions have tremendous mission sending potential to help bring the gospel to unreached peoples, but they currently send only 20% of the world’s cross-cultural missionaries!

Via&rsquo;s teams in Africa have been seeing great response by training pastors in leadership, missions, and generosity. African pastors are mobilizing their congregations to give, pray, and go take the Gospel to their Muslim neighbors and unreached people groups. In a recent Via training in March, three pastors worked together to <a href="/articles/to-be-born-digo-is-to-be-muslim-but-not-today" rel="follow noopener" target="_blank">plant a church amongst the Muslim unreached Digo people group</a>. Another pastor equipped their congregation to reach out to Muslims locally in Mombasa, Kenya, and another pastor is researching unreached people groups in Western Kenya. We aim to train 1,100 African pastors, church planters and missionaries in 2025, but we need $78 per pastor to subsidize these trainings. The pastors pay the majority of their expenses for travel and lodging, but we cover our own costs, plus materials and some food. Our staff already raise their own support, so 100% will go directly to costs associated with the training.&nbsp;

They Can Go Where We Cannot

African missionaries sent by these pastors and indigenous churches can live and work in places closed-off to American missionaries making it extremely strategic &ndash; gaining access to Muslim strongholds like&nbsp;Sudan or war-torn communities in Somalia or the Congo. These African church planters often know the language already, can blend in easier and live amongst the people, and can more easily raise their families in these areas where Americans would struggle.&nbsp;

With a gift of $78, you can send a pastor to this critical training and unlock a missionary-sending movement to nearby unreached tribes.
And, because Via staff are already fully funded through their personal support teams, &nbsp;100% of every dollar you give goes directly toward training and equipping pastors to plant churches among the unreached.
Again, including all travel, lodging, printing and the venue &ndash; the average cost for a pastor to attend is only $78 ($6.50/month). This will finally bring mission training to pastors eagerly waiting for it on the front lines &ndash; ensuring they (and their congregation) are doctrinally sound and equipped for years to come.
