God&rsquo;s mission has already begun, and your invitation to join him has arrived. Since the beginning, God has been at work fulfilling his mission to make himself known and worshiped among all nations. He invites and prepares all believers to join him in accomplishing this global plan&ndash;this includes you and your family.
God placed you in your church, workplace, school, and neighborhood for the role he has designed for you. He&rsquo;s given you abilities, interests, and heart desires. God even created your unique family for a specific purpose. Whether you are three or 103, you can accept God&rsquo;s invitation to participate in his work. Here are five simple and intentional ways:&nbsp;

</ul>
These five practices are known as World Christian habits. These are grounded in a biblical view of God's heart for the world and aligned with his global purpose to be glorified among all nations. Although the habits can be applied in many ways, they should include some elements focused on the unreached&ndash;peoples without access to the good news of Jesus. These habits are not just one-time actions but ongoing rhythms of everyday life that ultimately become a part of who believers are and how they live.

Praying
Praying is the ongoing practice of interceding for the spiritual needs of unreached peoples and asking God to send laborers to those without access to the gospel. Those who practice praying listen to God and ask in agreement with his will. They view unreached people groups through God&rsquo;s eyes&ndash;as people of value that God created, loves and wants to redeem for his glory. Those praying may use current events to prompt their prayers or learn about individual unreached people groups to make specific intercessions.&nbsp;
In response to these requests, God begins to work&ndash;removing barriers that prevent people groups from accessing the gospel, softening hearts to receive the good news of Jesus, opening minds blinded by false belief systems and calling out more workers into his harvest field. Using the gift of intercession to join God in his work directly affects change worldwide.

Welcoming
Welcoming is the ongoing practice of initiating and building friendships with people from other cultures who live in the community. This might look like sharing meals, telling personal stories, learning about another culture, meeting needs and looking for opportunities to share about Jesus.&nbsp;
Everyone longs for connection and friendships, especially those living in a sea of strangers. Most people are eager to learn about the new culture in which they live, including personal beliefs about God. Welcomers give their new friends the opportunity to hear the gospel and observe what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life. Some may become among the first from their people group to receive Christ. Thus, this friendship becomes the catalyst for a movement of the Holy Spirit that could influence their unreached family, friends and co-workers.

Going&nbsp;
Going is the ongoing practice of loving and serving among a people group whose culture is quite different with the goal of reaching them with the truth about Jesus. In the harvest field are billions of unreached peoples who have not heard the good news of Jesus. However, few believers are going to them. For example, there are about two or three Christian workers per 1 million Muslims.1 Goers give the unreached the opportunity, perhaps their first, to hear and learn about Jesus and observe what it looks like to follow him.&nbsp;
Some goers will move to a distant area. They live long-term among an unreached people group to minister by:&nbsp;

investing time&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
learning the local language and customs&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
cultivating friendships&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
demonstrating the love of Jesus&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
sharing the gospel
</li>
</ul>
Goers already living near unreached people groups may make frequent trips to minister to the unreached rather than living among them. While some goers begin work among the unreached, others come alongside to support the ongoing ministry of other workers. Through the goers' discipleship and establishment of local churches, those who become believers grow in their faith and learn how to share the good news of Jesus with others, multiplying the gospel in their community and region.

Sending
Sending is the ongoing practice of using resources to support cross-cultural goers who serve among the unreached. It can include:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>
giving money for financial stability, special ministry opportunities or additional needs&nbsp;&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
meeting goers&rsquo; needs when they are in their home country (housing, transportation or introductions to potential additional senders)&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
encouraging; celebrating milestones, family events and ministry fruit with them
</li>
<li>
praying for their work and personal lives&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
keeping up-to-date and responding to communications
</li>
</ul>
Senders recognize God as the source of blessing and realize that he blesses them for a purpose beyond themselves. They are mindful of God&rsquo;s mission when choosing how to invest their time, talent and treasure. Through their sacrificial partnership, senders help release more goers into the harvest field, resulting in more opportunities for unreached people groups to hear and respond to the gospel. &nbsp;

Mobilizing
Mobilizing is the ongoing practice of casting vision for God&rsquo;s global heart and purposes, raising awareness of the unreached, and equipping and inviting believers to join in God&rsquo;s work. Mobilizing usually happens in the context of current relationships. Mobilizers often include other believing friends in their ongoing practice of the World Christian habits. As mobilizers actively invite others into God&rsquo;s story and show them ways to be involved, it results in more and more believers caring about unreached peoples. This multiplies the number of people engaged in God&rsquo;s work.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The mission is in progress. God&rsquo;s invitation to join him is for you, your family and the families in your church. Implementing the World Christian habits in everyday life is a practical way to respond to that invitation. What would it mean if the families you serve at church intentionally joined God in his global plan? What if your children engaged in their God-given purpose? Throughout the world, who might come to know and worship God?&nbsp;&nbsp;
